Privacy as family practice
Canadian children's privacy in console gaming.
Game consoles sit in family rooms and collect data from everyone who plays, including children. This project treats privacy as something families practise together and examines how Canadian children’s privacy is negotiated around console gaming. It builds on the lab’s research on privacy and deceptive design in games, such as Immersive Invaders. Lennart is a co-applicant on the project, which a UW/SSHRC grant funds.
