AI-VIATE (AI for Virtual Interactive Aviation Training Excellence) studies how intelligent systems and interactive virtual training can modernize pilot education in Canada. The project brings the lab’s work on player experience, simulation, and training design to a safety-critical field where better practice time can translate into better-prepared pilots. Lennart leads it as principal investigator with NSERC funding.
